"Hand in Hand - Corporate Volunteering as an Instrument for Organisational Development in Germany"

In a study called "Hand in Hand - Corporate Volunteering as an Instrument of Organisational Development in Germany", the brands & values team investigated the extent to which companies offering employees the opportunity to volunteer during working hours makes a positive contribution to employee motivation, employee loyalty and attractiveness as an employer.

It is based on two empirical studies: a survey of 685 employees and job applicants, and also a survey of 68 HR managers. The latter shows that so far only a few companies have systematically used corporate volunteering as a strategic instrument in the recruiting process and for human resources development.

This is contrasted by the success stories of internationally operating companies - "Hand in Hand" portrays the commitment of the mobile phone manufacturer Nokia and that of Deutsche Bank. These testimonials, combined with the findings of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, provide valuable insights into the potential benefits of this new tool and concrete advice on how to implement it successfully.
