Elaboration of life cycle assessments for the Ministry for Environment, Climate, Energy and Agriculture (BUKEA) of the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg

In the course of the project, three life cycle assessments for alternative stormwater treatment systems were prepared and documented for the Hanseatic City of Hamburg. A retention soil filter, as well as sedimentation pipes with or without filtration were examined with regard to their greenhouse gas potential, eutrophication potential, acidification potential and their blue water consumption.

Lösung / Projektergebnisse

The environmental impacts of the different facilities are taken into account by the authority in decision-making processes for future projects and thus complete the available data basis for a comprehensive cost-benefit analysis of the available alternatives.
